Town Centre Surgery Urgent Treatment Centre opening Monday 1st October
The new Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) will be based at Town Centre Surgery from Monday 1st October.
The quickest way to be seen is to call NHS111 and speak to one of the highly trained call handlers who will be able to direct you to the most appropriate service for your condition.
Patients who walk in to the UTC will be triaged and may have to wait for longer as they do not have an appointment.
You can be seen for a range of conditions such as:
- Bites, stings, cuts, bruises and grazes
- Minor burns and scalds
- Foreign bodies that are stuck in ears or noses
- Minor eye injuries
- Minor head injuries
- Minor illnesses
- Muscle and joint injuries, such as strains, sprains, sudden back or neck pain, tendonitis and soft tissue injuries
Important information - for Urgent Treatment Centre and Registered patients
From 18:00 (6 pm) each day the UTC will be accessible via appointment only. Please telephone NHS111 and you will be directed to the most appropriate service for your condition which may not always be the UTC.
Registered patients - You will still be able to access the practice if you have an appointment or are collecting a prescription etc. If you are requiring a UTC appointment you will have to telephone the NHS111 service.
Who are we?
The Town Centre Surgery is located at the heart of Luton. Our dedicated staff are committed to providing high-quality healthcare advice and a family friendly service.
We offer GP appointments from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask our helpful reception staff.
Where are we located?
We are located in Luton Town Centre and provide easy wheelchair and pushchair access. We also share our main reception with the Out of Hours service. Appointments for this service can only be booked by calling NHS 111.
